The times of his tuitions are from 2:25 - 3:25pm during Saturdays at Mt Waverley Secondary College. Although the downside to it all is because he is involved with so much stuff, he only attends half of his classes while his wife (although his wife is also pro at tutoring English) does the rest. Acquire about him at the college. The tuition runs under Xin Jin Shan Chinese Culture School. There are also sporadic but free lectures provided by this guy each semester.

Yes, I have for a year. He knows what he's talking about and can help you develop ideas really well. However, being a VCE veteran, some of the language he uses may be slightly confusing. But all in all, he has over 15 years (I think!) of VCE English teaching experience and can provide you with some good tips on how to impress him and other examiners in your writing. But again, the downside to this guy is that he is committed with too many things. One week he'll go to Brisbane for a lecture, the other he's marking SACs and exams. So his attendance rate to this tutor is quite low. But at times when he is here, he is pro!!!

Also, another thing is (although this is a personal thing) I don't like his way of marking essays. It is exactly the way he marks the VCE English papers in that he skims over it and is very very vague in his feedback. For example, he gave me a 9/10 for an essay I wrote and merely wrote 'Great use of language and discussion of ideas'. It did not give me any headway as to where I can improve, etc. Have to reiterate that it is only a personal thing.
