Films studied
abcat:
Which three films/tv series are people studying this year?
I have notes for the three I did, but only those three.
thelovecatsx:
Amelie and Being John Malkovich. :)
millstone:
oh my god i would love doing amelie soooo much
our narrative films are donnie darko and run lola run
and for social values it's crash and two other texts tba but PROBABLY wonder woman and the radio recording of war of the worlds
notes would be great but i doubt you did those haha
does anyone know where you can find a list of movies schools can choose from for narratives?
abcat:
Pity, I didn't do any of those films, but I have seen most of them, bar stomp the yard and run lola run. So any questions regarding narrative/production elements in those films feel free to ask.
I'm surprised you are doing three texts for social values! We only did one text, an old 50s US film, which was more than adequete to study. In a modern film like Crash it'll be quite hard to ascertain the underlying social values (though the whole film is one big moral statement).
There is no 'list' of films to be chosen, the study design states that is up to the individual teacher. Any film can be chosen, which is why you end up with classes studying 'Stomp the Yard' :P
