Yeh I'm enquiring about being a radioGRAPHER, the one that doesn't require you to do medicine. This is the one who performs ultrasounds etc right?

yeah i think so, a radiographer is pretty much an xray technician.

ninwa:
From person who graduated from the equivalent of this course at RMIT (these are direct quotes from MSN, I take no responsibility for them :P):

course difficulty: average

--- Quote ---radiography also known as medical imaging covers physics, anatomy, physiology, pathology, CT, ultrasound and other stuff as well, volume is what makes it hard, pass rate through semester 1 is about 65%
--- End quote ---
NB: this is the RMIT course, but I can't imagine it being very different at Monash considering both are accredited by the same group

job difficulty:

--- Quote ---a monkey can do their job
--- End quote ---

job prospects:

--- Quote ---cyclical, though mostly good
--- End quote ---

job types:

--- Quote ---will depend on what you choose to specialise
you come out being able to do general x-ray, fluro and ct
mri and ultrasound will most likely require further studies, look in the course guide
--- End quote ---

income:

--- Quote ---we are not medical staff, but technical staff, if you are in it for the money, go elsewhere
typically you will not approach 6 figures
50k is a ballpark
