Look at the assessor's reports, it usually has it somewhere near the top.

that should be a statewide statistic
well the limit can turn into a threshold..

So, not many schools offer Chinese SL? Could this be a possible form of discrimination?

Its upon the school's decision of whether to select Chinese SL as an offered subject, normally basing on the number of students undertaking the subject and the availability of the teacher for the subject. There are language schools such as VSL that could also offer the course if its not available via your daytime school. Basically, as long as your school allows you to undertake a VCE subject during your school year, you can do Chinese SL through various pathways that are available to you.:)
well the limit can turn into a threshold..

Our school only offers Italian (they used to offer Japanese SL but they stopped) and even then they're planning on stopping Italian in a few years. It's not really a discrimination thing, and as already mentioned there are a lot of language schools (VSL aka worst place in existence) since most students would learn the language from a younger age like in primary school.

yea 700 to 800 sounds about right when you look at the number of people who get above 40 each year.

This year was 67, so thats the top (approx.) 9% of the total enrolment.
