To remember OXIDANTS, and REDUCTANTS (different to your Question):

OUR : Oxidants undergo Reduction
Reductants undergo Oxidation (Other way around)

For your question, simply just work out the oxidation numbers for each of them,
and see it from there (whichever one has changed).
I dont know how to use the latex but basically thats all you have to do, really...

Fe oxidation number has changed from +2 to +3 -> oxidation -> it is the reductant

O oxidation number has changed from -1 to -2 -> reduction -> it is the oxidant

The ROAD to RIO is via OUR OILRIG. RAROAO

Yes this is what TSFX taught me. One of the few things I remember from it.

ROAD - Reducants donate. Oxidants accept
RIO - Reductant is oxidised
OUR - Oxidants undergo reduction
RAROAO - Reductants are reducing agents. Oxidants are oxidising agents

That sentence sort of made sense and was easy to remember and then RAROAO happened.

I use AN OIL RIG CAT as well, never heard of the one from TSFX but it seems useful.

Lol, forget "An OIL RIG Cat" until second semester, just stick with OILRIG for now haha.
You really don't need redox in that much detail for the first semester, just make sure you understand the basics, you'll get to know it really well towards the end of the year anyways.
