Total time logged in isn't changing...

For a long time now I've been seeing this:

"Total time logged in: 2 days, 14 hours and 57 minutes."

Very occassionally the total time logged in will rise a little. It seems to have stayed the same, no matter how long I stay logged in. Even if I log out then log back in it stays like that. This means that I can't use the "Show unread posts since lasts visit" function because according to the system, I stay online all the time, despite of course, my timer not changing. This is pretty annoying, is it the site's problem or could it be mine?

Personally, I think that time log is a little scary. I've spent over 6 days on this forum...
