do u have to do units 1 and 2 to do units 3 and 4 revs?

I wouldn't think so, at our school we had several classes that did 3/4 without doing 1/2 - one person got a 50, and many got 40+

1/2 helped me in the sense that we covered the basics of the Russian rev and I got my head around the difference between a History essay and an English essay.

There is no such thing as 1/2 Revolutions, only the 3/4 course exists. However, there is a 1/2 History that is only very mildly related to the Revolutions course, but it is definitely not necessary to undertake this subject to do well in Revolutions.
