Science student here - hopefully not for long.  :)

Transferring to Commerce? Bad luck on missing out but I'm sure you'll get in next time.

Yeah.  Wasn't sure what happened with what they said or "guaranteed", but a transfer looks likely.  Unless I somehow learn to love science, which seems unlikely with my track record in VCE but things can change when uni starts.

why did you have bachelor of science on your preferences and why not arts? you can do a commerce major in arts and then transfer would be easier and possibly credit gained....

Because an Arts degree doesn't really appeal to me.  I've had a look at the subjects being offered and they don't really suit me.  I'd rather pick a degree with subjects that suit me and hence I have a better chance of doing well in it and increase my chances on a a transfer.  Having said that, it's still too early to decide whether or not I'll change.  Remember costargh's story?  He was adamant on changing to Commerce but...

ah yeah this is true. especially because the sciences are something where if you study hard for you know you can do well. i'm sure you'll be able to transfer into commerce:)
