Is information from units 1+2 necessary to do well at Legal? I'm aiming for 47-50.

definitely not, I know someone who got the premiers award in 2008 and they didn't do the 1/2

Wow, thanks for that.
Is Legal the type of subject that requires to complete a lot of practice exams? Or will just learning the textbook be enough?

amirite?

Youre going to have to learn about the government and law making. As well as general principles, torts, difference between civil and criminal law, etc. I wouldnt rock up to the first day with no prior knowledge or you'll fall behind from the get go. If I were you I'd get a hold of the unit 1 and 2 textbook and read over it, as well as read over next years textbook.

It's also good to keep well informed with current affairs throughout the year. Read the newspaper regularly, watch the news. Current examples (that may not necessarily be found in the textbooks) are great to have up your sleeve. Examiners and teachers really like it.

I've done the same as you, 3/4 without 1/2, my teach said it will help, but not really needed. All you have to do is start early because their is quite a lot of memorising. Also practice writing answers (my teacher was really picky of what must be included in an answer). Get books that give practice questions
