Extension for assignments due to illness

I've been sick for a couple of days pretty bad and I've got an assignment due tomorrow and I'm in no state to do it haha, I've got a medical certificate for tomorrow's date. Can I get an extension, how do I go about applying for one?

Email the unit/subject coordinator which may or may not be one of your lecturers

How long have you had to do it? Just a warning, some coordinators are dickwits and will refuse an extension if you ask for one too close/on the due date, if you've had a week or more to do it.

Just emailed my co-ordinator and he gave me to Friday no hassles, absolute legend.
