Yeah its only first SAC is doesnt matter much.

Like people said SACS are only 33% of total SS. But if you perform very well on your exam then it will scale up your SACs.

But it also depends on your school and cohort. Eg. If your school is pro and tends to make really hard sacs, then if you get low it wont matter AS MUCH because it will be pushed up to level with the rest of the state.

I think its already been mentioned that SAC marks dont really matter. exams are everything. and this SAC is just probably worth like 5% of your overall mark?

your sac's are moderated depending on how everyone does in the exam, and if your sac ranking is strong, you do well in the exam. you WILL do well overall regardless.

of course. one sac means pretty much nothing in the scheme of things. try and do your best in sacs and then aim for A+ for both exams and you'll get 39 raw definitely, possibly more:)

For further maths last year my sacs were 20/20, 20/20, 38/40, 17/20 and I got an A for them, and my exams were A+ :(
My SS was 39.... :|

EDIT: I think my school's performance on the exam was very weak, it SUCKS that they compare it to the rest of the people. Individuals who perform well shouldn't be brought down :(

What? I thought exams were individually. And it was only SACs that are compared as a cohort.

Ie. Exams you are on your own, do as best as you can. SACs your school is combined as one, so basically its better if your school as a whole (cohort) does well.

The VCAA moderate your SACs based on how your cohort performed in the exams, so my seemingly high SAC marks only got an A. as they were moderated lower. Hmm confusing stuff >.<

You lost 5 marks, probably a lot of people lost less than 5 marks and are ranked higher than you.

I wouldn't think a lot of people would have lost <5 marks, in her cohort. (from my limited knowledge)
