Psych or Bio?

Hey guys,

I think I made a big mistake.
In 2008 I did Psych and got 44.
This year I am doing psych again and am aiming for 45+
But I think I should do Biology instead cos' my methods exam is right after my psych exam
And if I did biology, the methods exam would be 1 week after it
1 week can make an ENORMOUS difference
Have I made the right choice?...u might say that psych would be boring for me but its not...i forgot everything so its the same as doing a new subject but I dont think I can get 45+ .
Your thoughts

sorry, but that's a terrible idea- getting 44 and repeating psych.
if possible, switch it, you'll benefit far more from doing another subject then repeating one and only getting a point or so higher.

Don't repeat it, imagine if somehow you got LOWER! (chances are low but... there is still a chance)
Do biology, but only if you like it :) But agree with vexx ^

I would agree with that, but it all comes down to whether you like the sort of stuff you do in bio.
If you do, then the few points in psych may not be worth the time spent on it.
Remember, remember the 5th of November

2010 - MM CAS (47) - Cisco 1+2 (pass :P)
2011 - Eng - Phys - Chem - Spesh - Latin - UMAT
ATAR - 99.00+ plz... :)

What are your other subjects? What are your aims in those?

But do u guys think that 1 week will make a huge difference during the exam period? Is it possible to do well when ur exams r soo close?

do not think anything of the exam timetable, who cares how close they are. focus on your subjects throughout the year/prior to exams and you should be ready to sit any exam anytime.

definitely don't repeat psych. do something else, yeah perhaps P.E. or go with bio.
regardless of repeating the course, you may not do that much better and then it'll be a waste. considering knowing the course perfectly does not enable you to get rid of every possible mistake..

do u guys think its too late to start with a new subject.
i picked psych also cos' so many ppl in this site have done well in it, plus i never did practise exams when i did psych, this site is full of them. thats the only reason i think i will improve. plus i ran out of time in exam 2 and missed out on a page of questions. man, i wanna shoot myself in the foot.

it's up to your teachers to let you pick up a new subject now, i think it's definitely possible to catch up but your choice

ha- clearly people are amazing on this site and they do well in everything (especially in the math subjects!) but you are awesome then if you did no prac exams and missed a page of questions and still got 44!
that's wicked as, well done.
well if you aren't able to do a new subject, and hopefully your psych scores weren't too based on luck, you have a good shot at 45+ taken that you learn everything again early and just do heaps of prac exams over the term (like all).

Nah, you seem veryyyyy able (scores like 43, 44, 46 :O!)!
This year in Psych you may miss a page again? Or screw something up, it's risky.
I'd pick another subject - Biology resources are extensive on this site and I'm always on the Biology forum for any questions!
Ha ha. thanks Andrew. thats a good point, although im pretty sure the same wont happen this year. some crazy things happened in the exam room in 08, its just to gruesome to mention here.

thanks for the advice vexx. i'll ask the teacher if i can change. if not, then i will do 100 exams if that will get me a 50. if i can even find so many

haha go for it, i think there are 40+ exams now all together for EACH unit. thats 80+ (close enough to 100), the study design has been out for so long, embrace it- but yeah better to do another subject but you'll be fine either way.

80 exams is ALOT of exams though lol!

haha yeah :\

but not if he starts early and does like one a day for 40 days leading up to each exam.
or even 2 a day for 20 days.

he'll learn the entire course again so quick too so it wont be too difficult =]
