The university won't stop you if there is no point. If you want to do a major in physics and a major in womens studies they won't stop you.

Well.. I doubt you would be able to take a major in women's studies with a BSc. The course structure wouldn't allow it.

Can't you apply for cross faculty study?

Belay that... there's enough electives to complete a non-science major (but you'll be sinking your entire electives on that unit so).
