Government vs Parliament

Hi Guys,
Doing some practice for my upcoming sac this week and was wondering what the difference between government and parliament is and when these terms should be used, or are they infact the same thing? :S

Govt is the party (or coalition) which holds the majority of seats in the lower house (House Of Reps FED or Legislative Council VIC) of parliament.
EG. ALP has the majority, all ministers/representatives who are part of the ALP are members of the government.

Parliament is the law-making body which is comprised of ALL members.

dont forget to mention how parliament makes up government- (majority of members in house of reps. become gov.)
