2) By first writing the relevant half-equations, write a balanced net ionic equation for each of the following reactions and identify the oxidant and reductant.

c) When potassium iodate solution, KIO3, is acidified with sulfuric acid then added to a solution of iron(II) sulfate, FeSO4, the brown colour of iodine is observed, which turns starch deep blue. The other product is iron(III) sulfate, Fe2(SO4)3

Any help? Please show any working out. ;D

Also,

3) Suggest why it specified that some sulfuric acid was added to the mixture in Question 2c. What role did the acid play in the reaction?

Soz, there are no answers at the back. :(
