Why do you need this? Almost every undergrad course except for UNSW I think it is doesn't use MMI's for undergrad entry.

You mean for Monash? This'll be interesting =\ Have a look around on http://pagingdr.net/forum/index.php for some information regarding them since most graduate medicine courses use MMIs. I think the graduate Monash Gippsland Med entry process uses them, so the undergrad will probably just steal them from there. I doubt anyone here will know much about them since the few Med students around here are undergrads.

EDIT: Fixed link.

MMI is like speed dating, you have to go through several doors, and behind each door you'll have certain tasks (topics to talk about).

It's apparently quite similar to the clinical skills exams you'll need to perform once you're actually in the course. However, obviously you won't be using any medical skills; it'll be mostly testing communication and empathy in a variety of settings. Ones I've heard of include talking to a frightened lady after she crashes her car, and random scenarios like that.

You're not just trying to pass though; you're trying to beat everyone else. The difficulty of the test itself is irrelevant.

I got it in my schools careers newsletter, that the careers department puts out.

Yeah, theyre moving to a MMI.

I think it would be better... probably...a pannel of 5 or 6 interviewing me at once seems kind of bleh... i reckon id probably get nervous and screw up.. but like 1:1 is better and its not really sit there and interrogate you.. i think its like scenarios apparently
