Ahh that is absolutely ridiculous! But now it all makes sense - someone in my German tute was telling me how one of the universities was offering free flights/accomodation + living expenses to Monash engineering students to go and study there ... because nobody wanted to go. Geez I wonder why! Silly people.

Why not Austria, just out of interest? The dialect is sometimes a little different but you will still improve heaps!

I've just always had this thing with Germany, I can't really explain it. I would love to go to Austria too, but I've wanted to study in Germany since year 11 and the ~amazing International studies with integrated study abroad~ was one of the main reasons I chose Monash over RMIT and UoM.

 And even if I was willing to go to Austria instead, I just don't want to HAVE to settle for my second choice. So byebye Monash.

(NB: there were a number of other reasons that I'm leaving Monash, not just this :P).
