This question is rather complicated to explain. Does anyone know the concept behind this?

Also don't understand this statement:
Diodes are rather useful in voltage divider circuits in that they can maintain a constant voltage when the current increase. How is this a useful property of diodes?

the voltage drop across the other component/resistor can be found by substracting volatge over the diode from the total potential drop in the circuit (i.e voltage of battery, power supply etc...)  no matter what the current is.
