We're doing our sac on Esthers first week back

We're producing Ethyl Ethanoate

Has anyone done this yet or know anything about it?

How are you producing ethyl ethanoate?
Do you mean by designing a pathway for it??

If its reaction pathways Im guessing you begin from ethene and you move your way to ethanol + ethanoic acid.

Yeah I'm not too sure on the whole process :/
All the the ethanol is made for us before hand so all we pretty much have to do is prepare the ethanoic acid then mix

Hmm there's such thing as "Esthers"? Maybe it's supposed to be esters or ethers because I know of those two, lol.

Apparently at my school we make banana flavour or something like that..

(we're pretty behind because of a slow class and slow teacher... we've just started IR spec)

Yeah it was alright.
We had 3 acids, 3 alcohols and made all the combinations and noted down the different scents.
Hopefully 100% for this one ;]
