OMG in my sentence answer, i didn't state the direction of acceleration (but got a=-8/3).. they arent gonna take a mark off for that are they

There was no room for a table. I just showed some little working out on the side.

I doubt it. I wrote -8/3 m/s^2 (opposite to motion).
