i dont think it asked for that
btw were we asked to draw up a slope field table? or just draw it in?
cos i didnt write 2.5,2,1 etc..

I think it would be unreasonable to ask for working out when they dont give any room for it

OMG in my sentence answer, i didn't state the direction of acceleration (but got a=-8/3).. they arent gonna take a mark off for that are they

I dont think they should because the diagram showed the direction of motion, so IMO it isnt necessary to state it (i didnt write the direction, so i'm hoping im right  :) )

I have found where I went wrong on question 10.
1. I can't simplify (2/4sqrt 2 I am assuming I wrote)
2. I can't square my unsimplified answer 4 sqrt 2 properly either (I am thinking that turned into 64.)
Hopefully they will have pity on me and I will get 2/3 not 1/3, because I am thinking I found tan x properly, just in an unsimplified form. I sure bloody hope so anyway.

So annoyed at myself. Last year I wrote d(6x^3)/dx=12x^2 and I wanted so badly to not repeat something similar, this was near the end of a question but so if I am lucky I will get 2/3 for method. Sure hope so...

so 37/38 plus I am not at all confident on the slope field. wooo.

Oh and my internet keeps going on and off, really want to kick it. None of the random neighbour's wireless signals I can pick up it won't let me connect to either. ISP said it was their bad, stupid twits.

Edit: I think I drew the slope field stuff right then ^_^
Edit: I forgot about the dilation of tan on the slope field xD so 36/37 =[

I left question one out of cis (polar) form >_<.

Damn me.

Other then that, forgot the domain & range of the graph, but part c should be considered a consequential error because of that, shouldn't it?

Yep. My guess is cartesian equation gives you the 2 marks. And the domain + range is handled in the graph. It'd be ridiculous to lose double time simply because you made one error. Though it could happen :)

I have a copy of worked solutions on paper which I can scan, but the first post of this thread already has the correct solutions.

I won't post them unless people have any specific requests for working. Sorry to asa.hoshi for typing out the soft-copy of the paper for me. I will not do maths solutions anymore, because typesetting is a pain in the ass on the computer.

I promise I will do it for Chemistry though, and possibly Physics.
