Speed and Velocity - Displacement

Hey Guys,
You know how to find the Velocity it is V = displacement/ time
How do i  find the displacement?
Is it from the displacement finish minus displacement initial?

Correct, if I start at A, then go for a trip around the world, and finish 1km from A, then my displacement is 1km :)

displacement is ur position relative to ur origin, remember its a vector quantitiy.
