what have you done so far?

So i have a test tomorrow on all the topics we have done, and i wrote a list, and it's rather long. well that's what i thought. how much have you all done in spesh?

what we've done so far:
circular functions- basics (eg. identities, reciprocal, sin & cos rules etc), inverse, graphs
graphs of functions
complex numbers-what they are, conjugate root theorem, subsets of the complex plane, factorizing over C, complex equations, rectangular/polar form of complex numbers, de moivre's theorem
vectors- what they are, dot product, vector proofs, linear dependence, scalar/vector resolutes, variable vectors
mechanics- basic stuff, friction & sloping planes, connected systems,
differentiation- (basic stuff all assumed) double differentiation, graphs of the 2nd derivative, implicit differentiation, integration, linear substitution, partial fractions.

well i suppose its not a massive list, but still what have other school covered?
2009: chinese SL(43-->50), methods CAS(not as good as chinese)

2010: english(41), methods CAS(40-->45), specialist(32-->39), biology(43-->44), chemistry(38-->42).

2011: Biomedical science and peace and conflict studies

eh you're further than us, we haven't touched mechanics.

Everything else is covered as per your specifications.
2009: Math methods: 50, Psychology: 44
2010: chem 47, further 48, Spesh 49 fml seriously and other yr 11 subs.
2011: Holidaying, screw school.
No. Not azn.

are we too slow?

Not really. Vectors is a fairly small topic (it took us like 2 weeks) and mechanics is usually the last thing covered.

We haven't touched on calculus or mechanics. Aside from that we have covered everything there. Those two components are quite large; you must be working at a very high rate, excessively high, I think. What else is left in the book? Off the top of my head all I can think of is vector calculus, but you may have done that as well and included it with vectors. and differential equations, but that too may have been included with calculus....

Seriously, how much is left?

You haven't even started calculus?  :o it's a massive section of the course, and we've pretty much finished it. You must be a month+ behind us at least

Haha, I've done the calculus, but the other guys in the class don't even know what an integral is =\ EDIT: Or a derivative... =\ =/

They haven't even done Methods calculus, except the tiny bit of differentiation covered in year 11...

In the heinemann book our class (of Five :)) will be finishing chapter five tomorrow. So we're about half way, which is good.

Looking forward to all the physic's related stuff thats coming up. I love physics :smitten:

ugh the physics bit of the spesh course is the bit I detest... it's way too applied for my tastes. Takes all the fun out of it.

agreed with yitzi, but I don't think it takes the fun out of it, im just poor at physics :D I love the integration and differentiation bit! But I may eat my words later.
