I think my school has 5 classes. A lot of the kids who did spesh decided to drop it and do further instead unfortunately.
So many people got 40/40 on the core sac.

what would be the max marks you can drop in sac marks to get a 40+ for further?
or is that still dependent on the cohort?
77.85.. is the number I better wake up to on the morning of December 13th

dependant on the cohort, just be as highly ranked as possible in your SACs and then do well on the exams (A+'s) will get you a 40+ no doubt.

I am also looking to score a 45+ study score :) i think my school has 5 further classes of 26 kids :O
Well ive gotten 40/40 for the core sac, and im thinking 18-20/20 for the geo/trig sac cos i got like 90% and most ppl have gotten below 60%.... the next highest score ive heard of is 88%.

Basically, SAC marks don't count for anything.  It's not about the marks, it's the ranking (how well you do in the SACs compared to the rest of your Further Maths cohort) and more importantly, the exam.  I was ranked 20+ in my cohort but nailed both exams to get a 40+ while many people that were ranked above me in the SACs weren't able to achieve a 40.

what if your in the middle, of average cohort. still able to get 48+ considering nailing both exams?

Yes, very possible.  Depending on how the state performs, if you make less than 3-4 mistakes (or 5 if the exam(s) were hard) then a 48+ is definitely reachable.  Don't let SAC marks or SAC rankings demoralise you.  :)

My school has 4 classes and all the spesh kids except 2 are doing further aswell. Not to mention, i have heaps of international students at my school doing further. I don't know how your schools work but our teachers rank us on gut instincts and not necessarily our sac marks. They also take into consideration our test results and prac exam marks. I go to a public school by the way and I'm aiming for 45  ;)

I forgot to mention, our teachers sometimes adjust our sac marks when they enter it into the system to maximise our results  :D   My school is so dodgy.
