Transforming to Linearity on CAS

Hi, at school at the moment I am doing "Transforming to Linearity" and I have a question
 On the CAS calculator how do you type in Log10? I didn't undrstand one of the questions and tried to do the worked example instead. I cannot seem to get the answer right. What I think I am doing wrong, is that when typing in Log10 am I doing it wrong. On the CAS, I type it in the same as I have done on this computer but in the worked example the "10" has been typed in small and is placed a bit below "LOG". I am not sure how to do this. Can someone please help. I hope I explained it alright

Which calculator do you have? If you have the TI-89, press the green diamond button then the number 7, and log( should come up. This log is log10, but the 10 doesn't have to be shown.

If you have a different calculator, surely many other people here will be able to help you

im guessing you have the ti-nspire..

near the bottom left there is a button that says and if you press ctrl and that button the log thing pops up and you enter 10 as the base and yeah you will get it from there

thanks, that it. I actually worked it out only a couple of seconds i posted this. Although it hasnt helped me one bit overall since i have no idea on how to "Transform to Linearity"

lol yeah, anything above the function (in blue), just use control.

olly, which school are you in? my school's using the ti-nspire only for the second year. it's kinda screwed because sometimes you can't trace graphs...

yeah my school is also using it for the second year, i'm at braybrook college

I see. I think most schools use the TI-89, is it more reliable...?

I think the n-spire has better features... who knows. I'm used to it so I don't really mind it.
