So using a switch on voltage of 0.7V, I'm getting 106mA as the answer to the following question. Solutions say that's wrong though..

I am interested to know the answer...LED's in parallel is confusing.

Not really. Each branch gets 6 volts, then proceed as usual. The lone 100 ohm resistor gets 6 V and the other 100 ohm resistor get whatever is left over from the diode. Then for each branch, and add.

Yeah, you're right matty. I stupidly assumed that 5.3V was across both sections (just doubled the current through the resistor in series with the led)...
