AFC1000 last minute cram session

Just wondering if any of the VNers doing AFC1000 this semester at Monash would be interested in attending a study group on Wednesday to prepare for the exam on Friday. I'm planning for it to run from 11am-1pm on the Wednesday, probably meeting at either the Law Library or Matheson depending on what people want (I'll book out a discussion room). I was thinking spend the first half discussing last years semester 2 exam (Hopefully people should have it done by then) and the second half discussing areas of the course that didn't appear on last years exam but are examinable (e.g. the whole of chapter 12).

So anyone interested?

For those interested we are now meeting at 10am in the law library (I'll be holding the AFC book if you need to find me). Alternatively we'll be on one of the law library tables, just look for the one which has lots of accounting looking stuff on it and say hi. I'll be there from about 9:30 onwards an way.

Yeah it's an open invitation. I'll be holding the AFC1000 textbook in the law library foyer area, just say hi. We'll be going in around 10am sharp so if there's no one in the foyer look for the table with accounting stuff on it or people talking about accounting.

I'm curious to see how many of you guys get a better result than I did for this subject :P

I usually bomb out on exams... so my grades don't really reflect my knowledge as well as they should.

What's with the "Financing the Business" questions in the revision sheets? I thought it was chapter 12 but the lecture notes don't seem to mention anything about it (unless I skimmed over it or something).

pretty good exam although i dropped a few marks in the first 2 qs cause they were ridiculously gay and i couldnt do 7(b) worth 3 marks it wouldn't work out i did FV=FP(1+i/m)^mt and it didnt work! grrr

Oh, I actually got that formula right? Kinda just put letters in random places until it looked reasonable.

Which was 7b?

that was a shit exam (especially the last question). Finance questions were great though! I can't believe they didnt have divisional analysis in it.
