why is CO2 linear and non-polar and H2S polar and v-shaped?
also what is another non-polar linear compound?

In CO2 there are two double bonds, they try and get as far as possible from each other, so you get a linear molecule. It's non-polar as it is symmetrical.

H2S has four separate electron groups; two single bonds and two lone pairs. These form a tetrahedral shape. The two bonds form a v.

Um, CS2 (if it exists... I think it should) would have the same shape.
