Do we actually have to use pen on the exam? Or is it just recommended?

Because what happens if we screw up a massive calculation, do we just scribble it all out?

lol in physics we had 5 lines to explain, I wrote 4 lines then went "oh no, that's wrong" so I scribbled everything and had 1 line to explain...so it was brief...I'm definitely using pacer for chem.

everyone was going on about only using a pen in the exam including my teacher, but you can definitely use a pencil/pacer as the exam cover says.__.

I like pencil, and my handwriting is ugly, AND i write big, and I often don't think before speaking let alone writing.

But all the same, pen it is.

The examiners said that we could use pencil on our physics exam today, I'm assuming it's the same for chem. I'll be taking both though, just in case.

True. I'm using pen, as I have done in physics.
