Changing subjects on the new system.

Am I just an idiot or something?
I wanted to switch one of my Sem 2 subjects in advance before they all become overfull and I'm locked into a subject I really DO NOT want to do.
Prior to June 7, it told me I wasn't allowed to change subjects until June 7.

Now if you try and change a subject, the new system opens and is like 'REGISTRATION NOW CLOSED'.

So, does this mean you literally can't change your subject until the timetable building thingie opens up sometime in the winter break?
Or are there ways to change your subjects without having to wait?

The university will most definitely give students the opportunity to change subjects before the commencement of semester 2.  This should give you all the info you're after.

Thank you!
I know you have a while to change them even into the semester, I was just concerned about 'overfull' scenarios.  That and I am entirely impatient.

If you're chronically impatient you can print off a subject change application form, fill it in and do the change now. Last year I had to do that, even though I was changing before S2 started :(
Unless the subject you're doing is quota-restricted, you'll be able to change into it. Also, don't wait until Alloc8 opens, do it before that if you can.
