INCREMENT HELP PLEASE

<< < (3/3)

Mao:
Resurrecting, I'm fairly sure there's no scaling/ranking/etc (at least not at monash). The mark you get is the 'percentile'.

The rationale behind that is the course material taught is the same as first year subjects. It'll be unfair to try to rank the best students of the state against each other. Instead, the enhancement cohort is considered as part of the larger first year cohort when doing the ranking, and it works out that your final mark is a good reflection of your percentile. So to save trouble, they assume your final mark is roughly where you rank, and don't scale/rank at all. If you get 60%, your most probably will get away with a 5.0 increment.

rustic_metal:
It depends on the subject. At Melbourne, for example, science subjects are percentile-based, while arts subjects are raw marks.
