As the title says, Sequences and series OR matrices???? I am going to study one of these instaed of the business section as i do not like and understand business maths at all and from the work ive done so far on it, it seems very easy to make mistakes.
So what are your thoughts?

i do not know the level of sequence and series in further, but they are certainly very fun!

matrices are cool too - gets used alot in linear algebra :)

Yup agreed, do matrices definitely the easier one of the two. I covered the whole matrices section on my own in 4hours. And yeah as annahinh mentioned above, you pretty much use the calculator to do every question. With matrices there kinda limited in the number of problems they can give you. You notice after a while that the problems are repeating themselves. Sequences and series is okay but some questions are a bit ambiguous and you can often find yourself tossing up between two ways of doing a problem. Go with Matrices.

Matrices is piss easy - having said that I've done it in Spesh 1/2, Methods 1/2, and now Methods 3/4 - Also Further 3/4.
I'd recommend it too anyone doing further...really very simple - straight forward - anyone can get it in no time :)

Go with Matrices. :P

i freakin love graphs and relations, it is so easy. It's all a matter of opinion though, personally i dont mind networks, and havent liked what ive seen of matrices, so yeah it differs person to person

MATRICES! I did both these modules for the exam- matrices is much more easier! I found sequences and series confusing :(

Thanks for the feedback guys :) Yeah i think im gonna choose matrices now, i took a look at the stuff we learn and there is only one new conecept whereas in sequences and series im learning a lot of new stuff. So it would be easir for me to do matrices as well because i pretty much know everything already :)
Thanks again.

Yeah, do matrices.  It is pretty easy.  But everything comes down to luck.  In 2008, Matrices question were a bitch on the exam, whilst in 2009, the number patterns questions plain sucked...

Both really easy topics, so I did them both. :D

Wait a second! You do sequences and series in further?

How advanced are your sequences and series? i.e. Do you do convergence tests, iterative sequences, etc?
