As many as you can get your hands on.  If you're aiming for 40+, every mark in both exams count and sadly, silly mistakes are extremely costly especially for those aiming for 45+ where pretty much every mark lost is equal to 1 study score lost.

Yeah it really depends on your ability but aiming high definitely do at least 10+ to ensure you don't make too many mistakes (assuming you know the content pretty well..)

It's not so much doing shitloads of past exams that will help you out, as after about 10 each of exam 1 and exam 2 you pretty much cover all the types of questions they can ask.  Also, from memory, NEAP make the most fkd up Further exams.  Too irrelevant and rather pointless.  Don't waste your time with them unless you have absolutely nothing else to do.

Not reading questions properly and careless mathematical errors is what WILL destroy you if you are aiming high.   Obviously I didn't manage to get it perfect, but if your aiming for 45+ SS, you'd want to be getting close to full marks on trials, especially the past VCAA papers.

For exam prep I:

-Made a bound reference from scratch.  It was really good revision.
-Did the whole of Checkpoints for my relevant modules + core
-I can't remember the exact amount of prac/past exams I did, but it would have been no more 15 for each of the exams.

I wouldn't stress over doing too many practice exams.  Unlike methods, further has very little testable content, so you will find minimal variation in the prac exam questions.  It is really important that you perfect your calculation and question reading/interpretation skills.

The only other thing I would recommend is to change to the modules you feel most comfortable with on the exam.  If there is a module which you can't stand doing or struggle with, then learn a different module for the exam.

For instance, I hated networks, so on the exam I substituted it for Number patterns.

40+ geez thats a lot for Further Maths. i'm probably going to do 15 of each exam 1 and exam 2. I'm pretty sure that'll be enough. After 10 or so, they'll probably become very repetitive

They definitely become repetitive but i have no choice. Prac exams are apart of our work requirement which we must submit every week or so. If i had a choice, i'd say around 15 is a good number but i think it'd be better if you spread them out.

40+ exams is a joke.  No offence, but your school blows.

LOL that's what all the kids at my school say at the beginning of the year. Dw, if you knew what school i go to, you'd either be like "haven't heard of it" or "no wondering you guys are trying so hard". It's a really shit school, i regret going there.
