TAFE offers VCE courses. If your school doesn't allow you to do say further math in year 11 (unit 3+4) as an accelerated subject, you can go do it at TAFE. Further maths is only one of the subjects you can do at TAFE, there's a heap of others. Depends what TAFE as well. If you have the opportunity to do a course at TAFE, do it, it'll really help. And plus i think its like only 4 hours a week, which is pretty good, I reckon

I do all my subjects at TAFE now because I was sick of dealing coordinators, and having to waste time at school doing nothing, wearing a uniform etc.

My point is that even though for TAFE the median SS is <28, it doesn't really affect you as long as you do well on the exams.  The same goes for any school with rather poor results.

Individually, it is quite possible for anyone to do well.
