I already bought my subject readers, most of them are already out.

And haha, yeah they take forever. So many UoM admin staff have taken ages to reply to me...the academic people do it really fast. Good luck though.

@gemgem49: have you handed in your monash transcript yet? I'm handing mine in tomorrow, really not looking forward to the wait!

@gemgem49: have you handed in your monash transcript yet? I'm handing mine in tomorrow, really not looking forward to the wait!

I submitted my application on the 15th of June and express posted my documents so they arrived on the 17th of June. So, over a month ago and MANY phone calls to the Admissions office later ,and my application is still unassessed.

I know another person on these forums who applied after me has had theirs assessed (but I don't know if internal transfers take less time than external - it IS the same application after all so I don't see why it should -). I'm pretty annoyed because tomorrow is the start of the Monash semester.

I wanted time before the semester started to assess whether I wanted to go to UoM or stay at Monash. Now if I do get in, I won't find out until some time next week, after I've already bought all my subject readers and textbooks at Monash. Not happy. I guess if I still want to transfer I can apply at the end of this year, but really... over a month wait is sooo not acceptable.

That's awful, sorry to hear you've been screwed around like that. I went to the information session and I was under the impression it was sort of a "as soon as we get it, you'll know in a few days time" situation. Now I'm worried, I need to go to monash this week in case I'm knocked back, but I also need to go to melb to drop off my transcript tomorrow.

So if we don't hear anything before the 26th, should we just assume its not happening?

I think they are just slow. They probably sent all their staff to battle the new iSIS problem.

Hey what's this about handing in transcripts? Is that something everyone has to do...?

Have you called them up at all? Hassling them might help. There was a 'system error' with mine where I was assigned two application numbers and it probably wouldn't have been sorted out unless I called. Then the second time I called they said it was 'with the assessors' would take 5 working days to assess (this was over 5 days ago and still nothing lol).

So you're in the same boat as me pretty much... we still have to go to Monash in case, and I don't want to go a week without books and get behind only to find out I haven't gotten in to UoM. Or find out I have gotten in and then be stuck with Monash readers I've already used. Dilemmaaaaa.

No idea, they shouldn't just leave it as unassessed, hopefully you'll find out one way or the other. Definitely call up :)

If you've had some tertiary experience, then you'll need to send a copy of an official academic transcript. They also require VCE certs showing study scores, successful completion of English 3/4 and your ENTER.

Edit: this is regarding mid-year entry (sorry, we may have gotten a little off topic)

Thanks for the advice gemgem. My current plan is to drop off my transcript tomorrow and not leave the building until they've assessed my application lol. I just wish I was one of those people who could pull off persistence and insisting that things done without looking like a jackass.

btw do you have the number you've been calling about the application process? Is it just a general student centre one?
