Very strong cohort at my school!
I am ranked roughly 7th, Happy with that considering the strength of the group,
Average is 89%.

can anyone explain the effect of rankings on your study score. i've been told it's about getting another person's exam results but...I dunno, seems weird to me. does anyone here understand the system?

The marks in SACs don't really matter, it's just used to rank the whole cohort doing a particular subject. Say you're ranked first, then come exam time the top exam mark is matched to your SACs and thats how you get your grade for your SAcs.

It makes sense, because some schools will have particularly easy compared to another school, so it sort of balances everything out.

A consistent 75~80% in SACs and the exam should be a solid 35 (It doesn't mean you should aim for that!!)

I hate my school LOL Its soo competitive with our legal class averaging around a 92 -.-

I'm firs rank though.... still kinda scared I might lose that rank.....

We've just finished finished our first sac for unit 4 and does anyone use the 'breaking and making the law' book?

Your school is the opposite of mine, the legal students in my cohort do really bad. But there's about three students that ace the sacs. I think i may be ranked 5th out of about 30 students so im not in a good position because i only really see 2 of those students getting A+s on the exam. My school uses justice and outcomes but i don't like it i just use my A+ notes which i find really helpful.

yeah bad man....that A+ notes is gold for legal! LOL

but then again its best to use as much available resources for legal, I use both justice outcomes and breaking and making the law XD

Just got my Unit 4, Outcome 1 result.. 100% :D
Only one in my cohort. Two others got 98%.
Pretty ecstatic, considering i though i was gonna get like 80%.
We use the WORST legal textbook. But i can't remember the publisher for the life of me. It's orange. Maybe cambridge?
I'm neck and neck with two other students for #1 in my cohort.

congratulations. it's pretty bad for me in my cohort, i dropped 3 marks in my first two marks, perfect since but since my friend (who's number 1) hasn't dropped a mark all year I have to wait for him to screw up rather than me try and push my marks higher. irritating circumstance
