Perhaps there are just fewer places offered in a single Law degree?

why so?.. I wouldn't see any reason for Monash to give fewer places just for Law by itself... :S

Itcould, again, be just to encourage people to do double degrees, or it could be because double degree places are more lucrative for the university, or it could be because they figure that more double degree places would compliment the wishes of prospective students better. All speculation.

Another QUESTION... if I were to do a double degree like Commerce/Law, would I be expected to know any Commerce knowledge, since I'm not doing subjects like Economics...? is there like a introductory lecture/or presentation on Commerce side of things (vice versa for Law, although I am doing Legal Studies currently)?
*Edit: I just meant for Commerce.
