have to do an ERA for school and 'originality' is a criteria so I can't use book examples to help explain cued recall and recognition, and to be honest the book has taken the only examples I can really think of; e.g. for recognition they have multiple choice Q's, police line-ups, identifying friends in a crowd etc........ and I can't think of any :( any ideas that I may be able to use (and probably mould) myself?

an example for recognition could be, recognising your a particular song that you knew, from among other similar songs (like when you browse itunes looking for a song you don't know the name of).
cued recall could be, recalling a particular friends name, when you know that it starts with A.

Ahh, well done mate. I just sent her mine a couple of hours ago. Is that a hint directed towards me? If so, thanks Biggs; something to do with abbreviations and measures of retention >:O
