Calorimeter Clarification

I want to see if what I am thinking is true or I'm just nuts:
So is the calorimeter used to find the CF only? (Not including what CF can be manipulated for other information such as delta H)

Is this how it works: It finds the specific energy required (heater) to increase the temperature using thermometer. Thus we divide energy by change in temperature to find CF

Edit: SHC to CF lol

Calorimeter is used to find delta H. After CF has been determined, you can use the calorimeter to empirically determine the delta H for certain reactions.

OK so calorimeter is used to calc. CF which aims to calc. delta H

Edit: What does CF tell us besides energy per 1 degree celcius? Like we need more info to calc. delta H for a reaction yea? i.e. the change in degrees celcius?

No. Calorimeter is used to find delta H, which requires CF to be found.

Is this how it works:
First we find the amount of energy required to raise the calorimeter by 1 degree celcius (CF)
Then we find how much energy is released/absorbed by a reaction by measuring the change in temp.
Then we calc. the energy released by the reaction (using the reaction equation)

Some questions:
Does the temp have to be directly after calibration? Or it can be a different initial and final temp then we just calc the change?
Do we always assume the reaction is complete in these questions (at VCE)

Not directly after man. You already have CF.

Yes you do assume complete.
