Exam Performance

Hey guys.
Does anyone know how the performance exam (for solo music) is marked/graded? Any little details about the exam would be great :)

When I did it it was a 25 minute recital. I'm not entirely certain what the criteria are but I'm sure they're the typical things like musicality, expression, appropriateness of style, accuracy etc.
The actual exam will be recorded (I think the chief examiner goes thru the recordings to determine candidates for the Top Class series).
There will be an examiner and a supervising person in the room. The supervisor doesn't do any marking; he/she only takes care of recording, general integrity issues etc. You don't need to talk to them except hello and goodbye :P there is no need to introduce each piece etc. Just play it like you would any recital.

Great. Yeah it's 25 minutes, not two pieces. I am playing six pieces (I play electric guitar). Thanks for your reply, that helped a lot.

Yeah, I recall it was a 25 min recital, not a set amount of pieces, as pieces vary a lot in length. Is there a syllabus of pieces that can be selected and does there have to be a piece from each period?

Yeah 25 mins, you should be able to find an exam criteria sheet on the VCAA website somewhere... I'm pretty sure my teachers gave me a copy.
