lol, if i manage to scrape a 30 in methods, i will buy everyone on vce notes a drink.

...but since i won't be turning 18 until late January, that drink will probably be various flavours of undiluted cordial :)

Are you interested in linguistics? Also, if you're not sure it's best to do unit 1 english language first, as it is of more relevance to units 3/4. If you enjoy it, then continue with unit 2 etc. but if you really hate it then you can always switch to english in unit 2. Ideally, you could do both in year 11 if you have enough space.

You wouldn't be behind. My school runs a program where you can do Unit 1 English and Unit 2 English Language, and then decide which stream you want to get into for 3/4.

Just because English Language wasn't my cup of tea doesn't mean it can't be yours. Perhaps one of the most important things about English Language is that you really have to keep up to date with "Australian English", i.e. you have to do a lot of wide reading of newspapers and books etc. to build up a 'database' of examples you can draw on in essays. I simply didn't have the motivation.

Not really, although it is technically better to do both units. My school and many others recommends this path if you are not sure and do not have space to fit both (or alternatively, just pick both englishes and choose which to continue with in year 12 or both).

Not doing well and Year 11, and doing two Cisco units basically meaning my four non-VET subjects will definitely be in my top four. I'm doing as well as I'd like in all of them, but if I fuck one exam I'm screwed.

Then again, I can't really 'screw up' IT or French (ripping the first one, near-fluent in the second one) and 'screwing up' English would damage my top 4 regardless considering it has to be there. I guess my only fear is screwing up Revs?

EG:
English
French
ITA
Revolutions
Cisco 1/2 VET (10% avg. of top 4)
Cisco 3/4 VET (10% avg. of top 4)
