At UoM, the B.Sci has Engineering Systems majors you can take which lead to a Master of Engineering. You can also do Engineering sequences in other degrees, such as B.Comm, B.BioMed, B.Env...

hmm that is a fair bit :S not sure what to do now

but with engineering thru science does that mean that i wouldnt have enough room for the subs needed for MD?

Well.. up untill your 2nd year in melbourne science you can take 2 majors... so i guess one of your majors could be something biologyish and satisfy your MD prereq and something engineering also.

I'm a big fan of the melbourne science degrees now, i used to hate them but i think its good how you can have 2 majors in the 2nd year and you don't really decide till the 3rd.  First year is also more general if you haven't made up your mind yet. Check out the melbourne science website for more info or just email them, in my experience uni people are very helpful.

I don't see why you'd be bothering with prereqs, as having them won't really increase your chances. You only get 1 interview for graduate medicine, being eligible for UoM won't affect your ability to study at deakin/monash/other universities.
