From what i've read, everyone's school has the standard A+, A, B+ etc marking system... this is ours:

OS (Outstanding)
EX (Exelent)
VG (Very Good)
GD (Good)
CO (Competent)
SA (Satisfactory)
NI (Needs Improvement)
UG (Ungradeable)

is this odd?

yeah that's fine. they don't want to give you letter grades in vce as people might get get into a false sense of security/despair when they receive a sac mark
vce: english, methods, spesh, chemistry, physics, geography.

lol my school does an online report where the teachers lodge each test/assessment mark on it.
It's really weird since my English teacher sometimes marks with letter grades of L/M/H, my Chemistry teacher puts the percentages down, with "regular homework completion" one teacher puts down "VH" while the other puts down "Satisfactory" although I've never been late with any homework :(

We are just graded from A+ to E I think, although I don't know if anyone gets that low.

MY school has a system of "Noteworthy", "Acceptable" and "Of Concern" for internal reports... for different aspects of a subject... it varies from subject to subject, as well as the usual grading of A+, A, B+, B etc.
