I was told (for chemistry at least anyway) that if you add/subtract... you take the least number of decimal places.

24.8 - 21.4 = 3.4

Ah yes, it is 2. I failed to realise that the answer was below 10...

When I first read the topic, I thought he was trying to say 24.8 to 21.4. I thought the dash meant a range and not a subtraction. lol
