The subjects you do are the same for the masters degree as you would have done in UoM old 4 year engineering degree. So really you're doing that extra year of study for no reason

The best thing to do is list Monash first, then list engineering streams that are similar and what you would be interested in.

For example, mechanical and aerospace are similar thus you could transfer across one of those in case you didn't like one.

Hi, I have a few questions :)
How did you find engineering in the first year in terms of the mathematics and physics in it?
You said that RMIT "may have better engineering courses", does this mean they rank almost the same as Monash's courses in terms of overall engineering?
If I were to transfer from RMIT mechatronics to RMIT aerospace does this mean I'd have to do first year again since they don't have the common first year?
How about RMIT to Monash?
So if I averaged 70-79% or distinction in the first year, would you say this would guarantee me a place in Monash aero eng from RMIT mechatronics?
