Is it insane to do Method 3+4 without doing 1+2?

I reckon I could have done it without 1/2 and I'm sure you can do it too!

I think most if not all(?) of his class didn't do 1/2.

As did I but it took me months to get my head around it all. When did you start learning some of the more complex maths? when I was 15 I was learning how to find the length of a hypotenuse :S

In brazil I was doing what i'm doing now in spesh and that was around 11ish so I guess I techincally *did* do the equivalents of the 1/2 before.

I know where I come from (Russia) they start methods level maths at 13-14, is it even more hardcore in Brazil or were you one of *those* kids there too?

it's possible. i did it. admittedly i didn't go too well in it, but it wasn't just me -- we had a REALLY shitty teacher and a  mostly weak cohort. and i only had the (bad!!) textbook and vcaa practice papers (i didn't know of this site's existence). i don't regret jumping a year, even though i'd do wayyy better if i retook it.

i would reccommend jumping straight into 3+4 if you're easily bored/good at math.

LOL. I didn't fully understand it! I was just exposed to it. The question was: "When did you start learning some of the more complex maths?" Its because we are given aptitude tests similar to the NAPLAN crap you guys do here and I did much better than I should have for maths so they gave me extra classes. In general Brazil isn't amazing in the maths department.
