Hi guys,

I was just wondering with the Neap 2008 Exam 1 - Q 4 and 5 in the CORE section, how do you do them?  I've got the casio classpad and i don't know how to do the frequency tables on the calc or by hand :/

I would probably just type it in List1 as

2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 6, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 7, 8

then CALC -> One Variable
It will show all the data you need (IQR = 4, Mode = 7, hence D)

For Q5, just replace 2 7's with 2 9's and you'll see that
A. The mean increases from 4.833 to 5, the standard deviation increases from 1.91 to 2.12, so this answer is correct
