Depressing: Studio Arts TOP ART

Who has been to the Studio Arts TOP ARTS exhibition? The folios are ridiculously good, I can't believe how much effort people put in, they dedicate their whole school life to that subject.. How can they manage to do all that and get good marks on other subjects?? It's insane..

It is supposed to inspire you to do well but it is depressing as to how much effort is needed..  :-\

I went there a few years ago and they were so good.
The animations were a bit weird though, but all the traditional art were amaaazing.

But like you said, it's probably really time consuming. I'd imagine the effort needed would compromise a bit of their other subjects. Unless they're freaks :P

usually those students really only want to get into an art course where they are pretty much chosen on folio work and not really on an enter, theres a girl at my school doing 5 folio subjects and english, its crazy!!

my class went too.. some folios i found were really awesome (like that one by.. ruby(?) her final piece was sculpture. the folio in itself was a work of art) but i found some a bit... bland/boring/lifeless... idk.

do people here want to get into art/design related courses? or are you more focused on getting a good ENTER and studying something else? for me it is more of the former but i'd like to try and get a good ENTER.. but it's hard because studio and viscomm take up nearly all my time..!

i dont think that top arts was that good this year. people generally focused on photography and mostly landscapes... nothing new there. i liked the idea about the technology taking over the world however i thought her final could of been explored more. my favs were the bark painting (i met that girl at an art lecture and she explained it really well) and the bark scultpture.

yeah i went to top arts too earlier this year as an art excursion meant to inspire me to create fabulous work.
i really thought the bark sculpture was excellent and while looking at it close up with my sister, i thought that anyone could accidently trip and fall all over those sculptures. Very bad
We had a talk after and we got to look at folios in the rooms later wearing those ugly white gloves
