exam estimation teachers send to vcaa

so i found out the practise exam for meth we had on the holidays is what our teacher is sending to vcaa as what she thinks we'll get on the exam.
couple flaws, we did the practise exam 1 and 2 with like a 10 minute break in between, i had a psycholofy sac before it and she didn't tell us she'd be sending these results to vcaa. Not to mention the exams were extremely hard compared to vcaa exams, One student in my class got 1/40 and the top ranked student didn't get all that well either. so what the fuck is this shit, will vcaa care or is this only for people who miss out on exams due to problems or w/e.

I tried explaining to her how easy vcaa exams are compared to what we did, and the student who got 1/40 (exam 1, dunno what he got for exam 2) is easily capable of no less than a C+ on both exams.

so would vcaa just see her as retarded when our marks for the exams come. Will this estimation score have any affect on our sac score scaling? if our sac marks haven't been too great but we do good on exams, will vcaa see how hard of a marker/hard sacs she gives us?

Our last sac for probability, i got the highest ranking with a 38/40 on one part (considering the lowest ranking was 2/40), but i bet she'll screw my ranking over since i'm pretty sure she hates me.

So what will vcaa see and/or do?

yes, your teacher needs to make an approximation of what he/she predicts as your study score for that subject. We are having a further math trial exam on friday then exam 2 next Tuesday. Using this data the teacher will send what he/she predicts to be your study score. however its only an indication so that Vcaa can see no discrepancies in the SAC marks and that of the exams. So ultimately it would be your exams as well as your SACs. some teachers just do it as a revision or to give bonus marks to the SAC marks in case someone ruined their SACS. Still i think you should go tell her that you weren't concentrating because you never thought that she would use those to ssend a prediction.

These are indication scores and do not affect any of your scores UNLESS you perform very poorly.
They are like a "back-up"- if your teacher believes you will get A on the exam but instead you get a D, they will further investigate your SAC results and GAT results, and perhaps will take all these into account as well, because something probably "went wrong" (as the indicated mark is much higher than the actual mark).
This I believe happened to my friend who got a D+ in her chemistry mid year last year. However she obtained an A+ for her end of year, and A+ for her SACs, and received an SS of 37. Her poor midyear performance was most likely very strange, so VCAA had a look into it, also looking at the indicated mark her teacher would have given her.

Long story short, the indication mark does not affect your SAC or exam scores UNLESS it's to your benefit.

ahh awesome. The lowest mark ive recieved on vcaa exams from 06-09 was around 89%. I'm sure i can pull of high A to A+ on both exams, albiet i bet she's gonna put me getting a D on the exams.

just to show you how fucked up it is, I'm getting better marks in spesh than methods.

one questiong i wrote all the working out and got the right answer. I had crossed out U since it looked retarded and started a new line. she circled it and wrote "what's this?", needles to say i lost a mark. upon telling her it was a crossed out U, she said vcaa examiners wouldn't know and i could lose marks, what the fuck.
