Neap 2007 question

Hi everyone, this question from Neap 07, attached, the answer says B. I got A.
The way i did it was work out (x+iy)^2 and the Imaginary part of that is 2xy, so 2xy>4, so if x<0 then y<2/x, and if x>0 then y>2/x.
So is the answer wrong or is my understanding?
Thanks :)

Yeah they're wrong. You're reasoning is the exact same as mine. Also, test a point say (-2,-3) this means -3 < 2/-2  -3<-1 this makes sense. Not  say (-1,-1) as in their region.
